Wetwheels Solent – Trips on a fully accessible powerboat

What services do Wetwheels offer?

Wetwheels is a local powerboat leisure activity. We use a purpose built powerboat, specifically designed to enable everyone, regardless of their ability, to have access to the water in a safe and fun way.

Where is Wetwheels based?

Gunwharf Quays Marina, Portsmouth,

What do Wetwheels do?

Wetwheels provide trips on our fully-accessible powerboat called Wetwheels. Our boat removes the barrier to accessing our maritime environment and our trips enable people to access our historic harbour and coastal waters. These are high-value, shared experiences.

We aim to improve the general well being and confidence of disabled and disadvantaged people of all ages in our community in which each person can share experiences, challenge their self-perceptions, extend their horizons and discover new opportunities. The young people, who are supported by peer mentors, are able to have a single experience or return over time to develop new skills.

Who can use our service?

Disabled, Elderly and Disadvantaged people plus their carers/family
