Community Paediatric Medical Service
Brief description of what services your organisation offers:
The Community Paediatric Medical Team offers a specialist service for children with developmental problems e.g motor and speech and language delay, for those with physical and or learning disabilities, children with suspected chromosomal or syndrome diagnoses, children with social communication difficulties and possible autism.
Where the service is provided
The service is city wide and based at Battenburg Avenue and Child Development Centre. Clinics are also held at Paulsgrove Healthy Living Centre, Q.A. hospital and Mary Rose school.

Full and detailed medical assessments, investigations, diagnosis, treatment or interventions as appropriate for individual children.
How to access the service
This service can be accessed by a referral from a child’s GP, health visitor, school nurse or a hospital consultant

The service works to highest possible standards by adhering to national and locally agreed guidelines and standards for various medical conditions to improve outcomes for children which are regularly audited. All GP referrals are seen within 4 weeks by Consultant Paediatricians.
