South Hants Sitting Volleyball Club
Brief description of what services your organisation offers
Sitting volleyball is a fast and dynamic sport which can be played by anyone, whether disabled or not. The only requirement is that you can move on your own and track a ball through the air. Anyone interested in taking up the sport will find it both rewarding and enjoyable. At South Hants we have an active club that welcomes players of all standards, whether disabled or not, or are 14 years or older. The club is affiliated to South Hants Volleyball Club and is part of a nationwide network of sitting volleyball centres supported by Volleyball England.
Where the activity takes place
We train every Monday at The Harbour School, Tipner, Portsmouth, PO2 8RA between 1900 and 2100. The venue is accessible for users of wheelchairs, with accessible toilets. You can find us in the sports hall which is on the left-hand side as you come through the school gates.
Cost
The cost of each session is £3.00 – the first session is free (plus a monthly subscription of £5).
What the organisation provides
We offer high quality coaching to everyone, from beginners to advanced players, in a friendly and social environment. We also compete at national level so if you have a competitive streak then this is the sport for you!
