Youth Hub: Autism Support- Enable Ability (ages 5-18)
Brief description of what services your organisation offers
Youth Hub is for all ages 5 to 18. It is a Social Club where children and young people can interact with others, build friendships and take part in games. There is a rolling activity of Youth Hub @Landport; Bowling; Swimming and Game Over. It is designed for young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorders.
Where is the service is provided?
Various locations dependent upon the activity but normally at Landport Community Centre, Charles Street, Portsmouth, PO1 1JD
What the organisation provides – types of interventions and support:
We provide an opportunity for young people with ASD to interact with their peers and take part in social activities. It takes place Thursday evenings 4.30pm to 6.30pm, term time only.
Who can access the service?
Children and young people with autism aged 5 to 18.
If you have not used Enable Ability before then you must have a Care Plan in place before attending events, this can be done in a home visit or at the activity prior to its start.
Cost
Expenses related to the various activities may need to be borne by the parents or carers.
