A user led lobbying and campaigning charity working to ensure disabled people have the same life chances as everyone else.

Where the service is based

Portsmouth Disability Forum owns and operates from The Frank Sorrell Centre Prince Albert Road, Southsea, PO4 9HR

What the organisation provides

We work with service providers and other organisations to improve services and facilities they offer. We are a consultative body for statutory and voluntary organisations as a voice for disabled people. We run regular monthly forums including the:

  • Open access forum
  • Feature forum

Our forums are open to our members and the general public to attend. Through these forums PDF has been involved in important projects and developments which have made a major impact on the provision of better access, services, advice and support to disabled people, their families, carers and personal assistants living in or visiting the City of Portsmouth.

Portsmouth Disability Forum also provides a number of other services, Shopmobility, Portsmouth Parent Voice and Dynamite.

Who can access the service?

Anyone, of any age with a disability and/or special needs, their families, carers and professionals living in Portsmouth.

To have the right information, at the right time in the right format and to enable young people and their families to make the right decisions.

How can this service be accessed?

Our office is open for you to drop in on Monday – Thursday, 10am – 4pm and Fridays 10am – 12:30pm.
