What does your service offer?
Moriah is a support group for parents and caregivers of children with special education/learning needs. Although open to all, we focus mainly on ethnic minority parents and caregivers.
Where does your service take place?
The group run coffee mornings every 2nd Monday of the month from 10.30 – 12.30. These take place at the Portsmouth Carers Centre, 117 Orchard Road, Portsmouth, PO4 0AD
What does your service provide, types of intervention and support?
At Moriah we provide a forum where parents and caregivers share their challenges and support and learn from one another’s experiences.
We also signpost parents to the relevant services that are needed by the families and provide information as to where they can access support. We also organise workshops and seminars that further educate parents and caregivers on ways to support their children.
Who is your service for?
Parents or caregivers of children with autism, adhd, dyslexia, down syndrome or any other special education/learning need.
