Holiday Playscheme (Specialist) – Enable Ability
Brief description of what services your organisation offers
This Special Needs Playscheme provides for children/young people aged 5 – 18 years requiring high levels of supervision owing to severe physical/learning difficulties and/or autism. These playschemes take place during all school holiday periods; transport is provided and all children are given the opportunity to participate in wide-ranging activities.

What the organisation provides – types of interventions and support:
Enable Ability’s Specialist Playscheme provides a comprehensive range of activities throughout each holiday period whilst enabling their families to benefit from vital respite. Activities include creative art/craft, sports, music, dance/movement, role play/drama, storytelling, theme days, outings and games.
Who can access the service?
This scheme is for children/young people living within Portsmouth City boundaries that require high levels of supervision because of diagnosed severe physical disabilities/learning difficulties, down syndrome and autism.
How do you make sure you provide a quality service?
This Playscheme is Ofsted registered and designed to enable children/young people to achieve effective learning outcomes, develop social awareness, improve language and communication skills, achieve greater independence, gain in confidence and self-esteem and share items they have made with their family.
