Enable Ability – Saturday Club
Brief description of what services your organisation offers
Enable Ability’s Saturday Club operates between 10:00am and 1:00pm on Saturdays during term time. Wheelchair-accessible transport is available to and from the venue. Whilst at the project the children engage in wide-ranging activities, theme days and have occasional outings. Children normally attend once every 3 weeks in appropriate age groups 5- 8’s, 9 – 12’s or 13 – 16 year olds.

The Saturday Club takes place at Redwood Park Academy, Wembley Grove, Cosham PO6 2RY
What does the organisation provide?
The Saturday Club provides for children with very high dependency needs; one-to-one support is made available as required.
Who can access the service?
The Saturday Club is for children aged 5 to 16 years old living in Portsmouth (postcodes PO1 – PO6) who require high levels of supervision because of diagnosed severe physical/learning difficulties, ie. cerebral palsy, Down Syndrome or Autism.
There is a daily charge of £20 per service user. Additional expenses related to the various activities may need to be borne by the parents or carers. Transport is available at an extra charge of £5.
Expected outcomes for children and young people and their families accessing your service
The family receive respite breaks whilst the benefits to the children includes confidence building, social awareness skills, greater independence and opportunities to enjoy wide-ranging activities, outings and workshops that would be otherwise unavailable to them.
