Enable Ability Junior Club
What do we offer and who are we suitable for?
The Enable Ability Junior Club is a social group for 5-12 year olds with mild/moderate disabilities, in South East Hampshire.
We meet every Sunday to access activities in the community as well as structured sessions on outdoor pursuits, sports, cookery and the arts.
We encourage and support the social and emotional development of our young people by instilling independence and self-worth through strong and positive relationships. The Club offers a relaxed and supportive environment, where our young people can really flourish and just be themselves.
The Club is run by trained staff and volunteers meaning that families and carers can benefit from some much needed respite.
What days do you run and what time do you start and finish?
We go out every Sunday, sometimes all day sometimes for two hours or so. We run through the school holidays and sometimes offer extra activities during the holidays.
Where is it?
We do not have a centre we run from – we meet outside the venue of our activity for that day.
How do you get there?
We only offer transport for our big day trips such as Marwell, Winchester Science Museum etc. The other sessions you would need to drop off and pick up your young person.
What is the cost to join?
You cover the cost of the activity – the cheapest we do is £5 and the most expensive is £30.
