An image of the cover of the SEND improvement planThe government has released information on a new SEND improvement plan for children and young people with SEND.

Liz Robinson, head of inclusion at Portsmouth City Council said:

“We have been awaiting the contents of the new SEND improvement plan. We have anticipated what it might include and will now be busy considering what it means for children, families and educational settings in Portsmouth, ensuring it is part of our overall SEND strategy.

“I welcome the focus on giving families support at the earliest opportunity which is key to ensuring their needs are met. We need to continue to improve the services families access and the experiences of children and young people in the city.”
