Local Offer Live!
Portsmouth families with SEND are invited to a new information event to learn about services in their community
Local Offer Live returns on Thursday 9 November from 10:30am – 2:30pm at Cosham Community Centre. Parents and carers will be able to speak with 14 exhibitors from across the city who support children and young people up to the age of 25 years old.
Those who attend will be able to watch short presentations on neurodiversity, tips for helping your children sleep and how to make ordinarily available provision work for you in school.
Cllr Suzy Horton, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Children, Families and Education at Portsmouth City Council said:
“The need for parents and carers to have access to services has become more urgent in current times. Information is a powerful tool that supports families to live a happy and healthy life in the city.
“The new Local Offer Live events are a fantastic way for families to find out more about the services for children and young people aged 0-25 who have special educational needs and or disabilities. It will also be a chance to catch up with friends and network with community groups as we know so many people value the social element.”
The event doesn’t require a ticket. Just turn up on the day! For more information, visit portsmouthlocaloffer.org/live
