The May half term Portsmouth holiday teenage programme is full of exciting activities and new opportunities for the four day holiday period. The cost is £20 per day, £80 for the full programme. Single day bookings are accepted but there are extremely limited spaces on some days where priority will be given to those who attend the majority or all days through the duration of the programme. Details are stated below with a brief description of the main activity for each day.

Tuesday 30th May – THE CRAFTY CHOCOLATIER: We will be getting a First bus to Waterlooville to see our lovely chocolate-making expert Kerry who will be welcoming us again to her chocolate snug for the first ever ‘Chocolate Forest School’! Join your Crafty Ranger in making tasty treats that you would find in the woodland, all items made will be edible! Each young person will leave with a box filled with woodland-inspired chocolate treats created by themselves. The workshop will be fun, creative, hands-on and suitable for all abilities.
Limited wheelchair accessibility. Breakfast included, please bring a packed lunch and a drink.

Wednesday 31st May – CLARENCE PIER FUNFAIR & ARCADES: Get your walking boots back on as we venture down to the seafront for unlimited ride action for three hours. Please bring an additional £5 if your young person wishes to have a go in the NEW Upside Down House attraction, extra cash will also be needed if they wish to use the arcade machines. Limited wheelchair accessibility. Breakfast included, please bring a packed lunch and a drink.

Thursday 1st June – PICNIC IN THE PARK, ICE CREAM TREAT & THE FAT CLAY POTTERY STUDIO: Get your hands dirty in the studio, try something different, learn about clay and the amazing things you can do with it! The workshop will mean an exciting return to the John Pounds Centre where we have planned a fun and engaging opportunity for your young person to create a special and unique piece of pottery to take home with them. We want to let their imaginations run wild! Wheelchair accessible. Breakfast included, please
bring a packed lunch and a drink.

Friday 2nd June – BUTLINS DAY TRIP TO BOGNOR REGIS: Your day visit will include their incredible Splash Waterworld, plus go again and again with unlimited rides in their fun fair. If you’ve still got energy to burn, make the most of the outdoor play areas. Limited wheelchair accessibility. BREAKFAST IS NOT INCLUDED
FOR THIS DAY AS WE WILL BE MEETING AT THE TRAIN STATION, please bring a packed lunch and a drink.

Portsmouth Teenage Project is run by Enable Ability and is for young people aged 13-17 years old living in Portsmouth with a physical and/or mild-moderate learning disability, or additional special need. The Project aims to provide young people with the opportunity to engage in a variety of planned recreational, social and sporting activities as part of a group setting. Referral to the project should be made to James Donougher.
