Celebrating Co-production Week 2026
Portsmouth SEND Local Offer and Portsmouth Parent Voice (PPV) marked Co-production Week 2026 by refreshing the Participation and Co-production section of the Local Offer website and launching a new resource pack to help organisations embed co-production into their everyday practice. The updated pages include practical guidance, top tips, examples of co-production in action and resources to help services work more effectively alongside children, young people and families
To celebrate the launch, partners and colleagues came together at the Greenhouse in Victoria Park for an informal networking event. Attendees had the opportunity to explore the new resources, share ideas, connect with others interested in co-production and add new bricks to the growing Wall of Co-production, highlighting successful examples from services across the city.
The new resource pack brings together a range of tools, guidance and practical information that organisations can use, share and print to support meaningful participation and co-production.
The week was a great opportunity to celebrate the excellent co-production work already taking place across Portsmouth, while encouraging more organisations to involve children, young people and families as equal partners in shaping services and support.
Cat Sidwell, Chair of PPV Said:
“Co-production is about working alongside children, young people and families as equal partners. The new resources will help more organisations across Portsmouth develop meaningful participation and co-production and ensure the voices of those with lived experience help shape services” Cat Sidwell – PPV Chair
Services, organisations, professionals and families can explore the updated resources by visiting the Participation and Co-production pages on the Portsmouth Local Offer website.
