The ASD Assessment Pathway is a service provided by Solent NHS Trust. The aim of the Pathway is assess children and young people and get a profile of their strengths and difficulties to see if their difficulties fit with the diagnosis of ASD or other developmental disorders. The second aim is to support families through the entire assessment process.

The CAMHS-CDC provides a highly specialist service, working with young people and their families aged 0-18 years, whom have a moderate to severe developmental delay. This delay can be in relation to a learning disability, physical disability or a complex health need.

The Solent NHS Children’s Therapy Service provides community based Speech and Language Therapy, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy to children and young people aged 0-19 years who are registered with a Portsmouth City GP or who attend a Portsmouth school.

This service is provided by Solent NHS Trust and consists of 3 elements with a joint aim to prevent children being admitted to hospital unless it is unavoidable and to support children being safely discharged from hospital as soon as possible.

The Early Help and Prevention service in Portsmouth is a new way of doing things – providing extra practical help with families early on, to stop problems getting worse.
The principal aim of the service is to enable those individuals in need of support, some of whom are vulnerable, to maintain their health, social care and educational needs and well-being in their chosen location for the foreseeable future and to help alleviate risk (e.g. falls, pressure sores etc.), promote independence and facilitate end of life strategies.
