Most children and young people will have their needs meet within their local mainstream school for the duration of their statutory education. In consultation with headteachers from primary and secondary schools in Portsmouth a statement has been agreed as a guide to what can be expected of Portsmouth mainstream schools.
The contribution to the Local Offer from mainstream schools and academies in Portsmouth has been agreed as guided by this statement.
The governing body of each school is required under the Children and Families Act to publish a school report on their website that provides details on how SEN information in their school. In Portsmouth we call this the Schools SEN offer and each school's offer can be found under their school name.

We offer provision two evenings a week Wednesday and Thursday's at Charles Dickens Youth Centre. We provide a variety of activities to include cooking, arts and crafts, sport, table tennis, pool, and discussion groups. Young people are free to come and go as they please. Opening times are 6.30 -8.30pm on a Wednesday and 6.00 - 8:30pm on a Thursday.
Youth Hub is for all ages up to 18 and will provide members with a social club silar to Young Adults Club, where children and young people can interact with others, build friendships, take part in games and enjoy a regular social hub.
