Brief description of what services your organisation offers:
The Carers Centre provides support to unpaid carers including providing information and advice, access to assessment and breaks, access to emotional support and training. The Carers Centre is open Monday to Friday during office hours and Saturdays 10-2pm for the Carers Café.
Where the service is based:
The Carers Centre is based at 117 Orchard Road, Southsea, Hants, PO4 0AD. It is a one stop shop for carers support but the team can also be found at various community settings. Please call the centre for more information.
What the organisation provides - types of interventions and support:
Anyone over the age of 5 who is looking after a family member, friend or neighbour in an unpaid capacity can access basic support from the Carers Centre. Adult carers will be offered an assessment of their own needs and through this they may be able to access further support services based on those needs.

The service is carer led so through the assessment process carers are able to identify their own needs giving the service the opportunity to work with them to find solutions to meet those needs. The aim of the service is to support carers to have a better quality of life, maintain their caring role and fulfil their potential.
